Scott Schreiber is a Managing Director of RSC Advisory Group. In this capacity, he applies a multidisciplinary background to assist clients in maximizing the return on their compensation investment. RSC provides advisory, design and analytic performance and reward services to organizations around the world.
Scott has consulted with a wide range of organizations from mature divisions of Fortune 50 companies to small, emerging high technology firms. Scott has provided compensation consulting services in the areas of Employee Pay – strategic alignment, pay for performance, international leveling, traditional, and alternative rewards; Sales Incentive – commission-based, quota-based, performance metrics; Variable Rewards – annual incentive, group and team; and Executive Compensation – base, annual incentive, stock/equity, long-term performance, phantom/simulated.
Representative compensation projects include:
- Bio-Tech Manufacturer – total redesign of base pay program to market-based approach. Developed and implemented new compensation approach to support organization change in market segmentation requiring greater flexibility in resource allocation.
- OEM Manufacturer – total redesign of hourly pay program, combining 4 disparate programs into one plan. New plan provided for time-in-job step increases and introduced a pay-for-performance component above targeted market competitive positioning.
- Tier 2 Auto Supplier – developed an annual incentive plan for production employees. Led internal design team for the identification, quantification and selection of appropriate plan metrics to realign performance to changing business direction.
- Global IT Consulting Firm – developed compensation programs across multiple countries utilizing staffing template in anticipation of contractual bid process for outsourcing arrangements. Compensation strategy provided global-leveling consistency while enabling ventures to be competitive at the local country level.
Prior to RSC, Scott founded the Compensation Service Group, served as the Midwest Compensation Practice Leader for Watson Wyatt, and was a Principal and Practice Leader for Mercer’s Reward and Talent Management practice. Prior experience also included Vice President Human Resources of a large insurance company, and several other corporate and consulting roles.
Scott’s education consists of a Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati.
